Artificial Intelligence
STRATEGY & ENTERPRISE FRAMEWORK FOR RESPONSIBLE ADOPTION
The rapid emergence of artificial intelligence presents both significant opportunities and complex risks for large-scale transport organisations. As the use of AI grows, there is an increasing need for clear strategic direction, robust governance, and structured decision-making to ensure its safe, ethical and effective adoption. In response to this challenge, Tractix was engaged by a large critical transport infrastructure organisation to design and deliver a foundational suite of AI artefacts to support the organisation’s long-term adoption of artificial intelligence. This multi-stage program included the development of an AI Strategy, policy suite, governance and assurance framework, and a structured decision framework to guide implementation.
Through extensive stakeholder engagement, analysis of existing policy and regulatory environments, and alignment with national and whole-of-government standards, Tractix established a cohesive and integrated approach to AI across the organisation. The resulting artefacts define clear principles, roles, controls and accountability structures, while embedding governance into existing organisational processes to ensure consistency and avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.
Significant improvements were achieved in the organisation’s ability to manage AI-related risks, align initiatives to strategic objectives, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory expectations. This uplift has positioned the organisation to adopt artificial intelligence with confidence, embedding strong governance, ethical considerations and assurance mechanisms that will support sustainable and responsible innovation over time.
Service Management Transformation
TECHNOLOGY IN CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTS
The Australian aviation industry contributes over $50B to the Australian economy and is currently undergoing a significant transformation under the auspices of the OneSky Program that will harmonise civil and official air traffic management via the implementation of new technology and management systems.
As a recognised industry leader, Tractix were engaged to deliver a major service management transformation, designing and deploying new support capabilities to achieve a series of program benefits. The Tractix team quickly mobilised to provide a comprehensive service management strategy and roadmap, supporting business case, detailed cross-program and organisation-wide dependency mapping, and detailed regulatory impact assessment.
The Tractix project team have successfully improved service management maturity levels using ITIL 4.0 and SIAM, implementing several Service Management practices and other capabilities required to support improved service performance.

Information Classification
OFFICIAL AND CLASSIFIED DATA MANAGEMENT
The quantity and quality of information organisations are generating and collecting is exponentially increasing. As organisations achieve a cloud-based architecture in an increasingly remotely accessible world, information management practices and data security must improve to keep up with an evolving landscape and critical standards.
In response to this challenge, Tractix were engaged by the Office of the Governor to complete a comprehensive information asset and classification activity, including updating the supporting policy environment and business classification scheme. To fully operationalise the changes, the team conducted a range of training activities and alterations to document management systems to embed the required changes.
We were able to achieve significant operational efficiencies through improved IM practices and demonstrable improvements to compliance levels. This uplift in maturity has opened up new opportunities to better use internal information through digitised processes and external channels and Tractix continues to provide ongoing assistance, releasing advanced levels of maturity.
Cyber Security Strategy
OPERATIONAL STRATEGY SUPPORTING PUBLIC SERVICES
Now more than ever, strong cyber security controls and response capabilities are a major investment focus and a mandatory requirement for organisations large and small. Within the public sector context, this need is amplified as custodians of volumes of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information, creating an attractive target for threat actors.
To meet this increasing risk profile, Tractix were engaged by a large Government department to develop a comprehensive cyber security strategy, using recognised best practice and standards to balance offensive and reactive security controls and countermeasures across people, process, information and technology layers of the organisation. Underpinning the transformation, the cyber security strategy was developed by Tractix in partnership through a carefully constructed discovery, research and stakeholder engagement process. This strategy was developed with heavy internal consultation and WoG engagement to achieve a unified outcome, ensuring the ongoing security of Customer data.

Dependency Management
CROSS-PORTFOLIO DELIVERY AND COORDINATION
The scale and complexity of modern transformation programs, particularly in the aviation sector, require a high degree of coordination across multiple interdependent initiatives. As programs grow in size and maturity, visibility of dependencies, alignment across delivery teams, and the ability to respond to emerging risks become critical to achieving successful outcomes.
In response to this challenge, Tractix was engaged to support the uplift and ongoing management of a cross-portfolio dependency management capability within a national aviation organisation. Working across multiple portfolios and stakeholder groups, Tractix focused on improving the quality, visibility and governance of dependencies, while strengthening collaboration between delivery teams and program leadership.
Through a structured approach to engagement, validation and prioritisation, Tractix enabled a more consistent and reliable view of interdependencies, ensuring that key relationships between programs were understood, actively managed and clearly communicated. This uplift in both the quality and consistency of dependency data strengthened the organisation’s ability to identify and prioritise critical path activities, while enhanced reporting and visualisation supported more informed decision-making, enabling leadership to proactively respond to shifting timelines and competing priorities.
Information Technology Modernisation
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND PROJECT DELIVERY SUPPORT
Legacy platforms, evolving customer expectations and increasing service complexity are driving many organisations to rethink how essential services are delivered. Tractix was engaged to develop the strategic foundations, roadmap and delivery approach for a large-scale business and technology modernisation program.
Working across business, technology and operational stakeholders, the engagement established a future-state vision, multi-year roadmap, delivery governance model and program mobilisation approach. The work provided a structured pathway to modern digital services, improved customer experiences and a more sustainable operating model.

Procurement Transformation and Delivery Uplift
PROCUREMENT OPERATING MODEL AND CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT
Sustainable procurement reform requires more than the introduction of new processes and policies. To achieve lasting change, organisations must build the capability, governance structures and implementation support needed to translate policy intent into day-to-day practice.
Tractix was engaged to support the delivery of a large-scale procurement transformation project and help establish the foundations required to implement the refreshed Queensland Procurement Policy '26 across the organisation.
Working closely with client stakeholders, Tractix provided end-to-end support spanning transformation planning, governance design, implementation oversight, stakeholder engagement and capability development. This included defining revised governance and accountability arrangements, establishing procurement frameworks and tools, and coaching leaders and practitioners through the transition to new ways of working.
Project and Program Procurement Reform
SUPPORTING PROJECTS TO REALISE PROCUREMENT POTENTIAL
Complex project delivery environments are often impacted by approval bottlenecks, disconnected planning processes and procurement approaches that are not aligned to project outcomes. Tractix supported a major procurement reform initiative focused on improving the integration of project planning, governance, funding and procurement activities.
Through extensive stakeholder engagement and analysis, Tractix developed revised procurement pathways, streamlined approval approaches and practical implementation recommendations. The engagement helped establish a more efficient procurement model while maintaining appropriate governance, assurance and compliance obligations.
